Give Yourself the Gift of Love for Christmas

Time to write a letter to yourself, telling you what you deserve and why.

Find a nice comfortable, peaceful spot where you can sit quietly for a while without being disturbed. Now write the words you dare not think, tell yourself what you have wanted to hear but haven’t, be the adult telling you why you deserve a wonderful life.

I wrote my own letter 10 years ago and put it away. Unexpectedly, it surfaced a few months ago, even after moving 9 times and traveling across the world.

It was like a vision quest for my future. Speaking of ‘all the things I deserve in my life, not might’s or could be’s, or wants or needs, but things I deserve because I, like everyone else on this planet was a unique and special person.’ This letter told me these things. Include them in yours too!

My letter spoke of a soul mate, and what this person will be to me, the little girl within and her finding peace and love, of my personal needs, home and finances, finding success in any business venture I seek to undertake, and it finished with love, saying it will be love that surrounds me in my future world.

All these things written long before I had any interest or understanding of my own journey, yet what I wrote is what has become in my world.

Write your first thought, do not worry about spelling or editing. It is a letter from your heart. You may become tearful or smile, or feel nothing but peace. Whatever you feel is perfect.

Enjoy telling you what you think and feel. Enjoy hearing ‘your’ words. This letter is to put away in an envelope, somewhere special. With your name and private written on the front.

I would like to share an experience of this exercise in a workshop. Using the same forward as you have just read, I sent the group of to write their letters for 20 minutes, then after just 5 they started coming back to me saying “I can’t stop crying, I feel it so strongly”, “I feel this letter and don’t understand why”.

They went back to writing and I waited, putting on a CD and singing softly. “How could anyone ever tell you, you are anything less than beautiful, How could anyone ever tell you, you are less than whole. How could anyone fail to notice, that your loving is a miracle, How deeply you’re connected to my soul.” Elaine Silver ‘Fairy Goddess’

20 minutes later, they came back all teary, but saying how good it felt. I formed a circle, and sat arms outspread, we all held hands and felt love. And I talked softly. “Yes, even with the tears, comes much joy. Do you know why? Sometimes we literally feel as that child within us. We can feel sadness and pain, but as that of a child. Then we complain at her, saying how bad that ego part of us is. She cries inside even more.

Tonight you told her you love her. How special and perfect she is. You cared. And she cried the tears of joy. Of finally being recognized.”

What was happening was an amazing experience. We sat in a circle, after feeling and sharing with our inner children, the ache of the inner child had been felt and acknowledged, the love shared with her, and her joy experienced.

The only words to describe the feeling, was peace. The deepest and calmest sense of peace possible. So we sat and shared, and floated in our own thoughts and feelings. Sitting quietly together. It was delightful.

It was a small workshop, yet it was the most beautiful experience I could have imagined. I could feel these beautiful beings, and their inner release from doing this exercise. We came together to share a moment in time and space. And we shared openly, and freely with each other. What more could any of us desire?

Enjoy your letter experience!

Spreading a Smile across the world – Smile Day January 1st, 2009

One smile can change someone’s life.
How many lives will you change?

Try it for yourself and see!

On January 1st, 2009 smile at every person you see. Feel the warmth in your chest as you watch their faces light up, notice how they go on to smile at the next person they see, and the next and the next. Notice how you naturally feel happier.

Just one smile can change the world!

You didn’t know that they were having a bad day or feeling down, yet your smile filled their world with happiness in that moment, and showed them that someone cares.

Notice how contagious smiles are. As each person who received the gift of a smile goes on to share it with another, watch their faces light up. Watch your one smile spread far and wide.

Notice how you feel throughout the day; happier, more loving towards your family and less irritable. Sharing one smile really can change your reality too.

Let’s all join hands and spread a smile across the globe, so the world smiles for one day.

Instructions:
No thought, no expectations, and no worries; a smile is free to share. It doesn’t matter if they don’t smile back, they felt it inside.

Smile at everyone you see, notice how it makes you feel and react throughout the rest of the day. Notice the recipients faces light up; especially as they go on to share your smile with another person. Feel your one smile grow and know that you gave the gift of love to the world.

Spread the word:
Write the date January 1st, 2009 in your calendar, put a reminder on your computer.

Tell everyone about Smile Day!
Your family, neighbors, work colleagues, even your school. Email your friends and ask them to join in too.

Tell the world about Smile Day so we can all join in!

Self Love & Acceptance

“Oh My! They were wrong! After beating myself up for 30 years I’ve just realized there is nothing wrong with me after all. I can’t stop smiling.”

What if its not that we have to love and believe in ourselves, what if we just have to remove the reason that we don’t love and believe in ourselves.

Have you ever wondered why you view yourself as you do? Or if there is anything you can do to change what you think of yourself? Try the following.

Take a moment to think about the self talk you heard in your mind today. Did you tell yourself that you couldn’t do something, or that you weren’t good enough, perhaps you heard yourself saying that you’re a failure.

What if I told you that every single thing you tell yourself, originally came from another person telling you this. Do you remember some of the things you were told as a child?

Think about it. What words do you tell your children when your in a bad mood, rushing, or tired? The things you say without thinking or meaning. Every single thing you say to your child is taken as gospel and believed. That is what children do, they are sponges who take on all their beliefs of themselves, the world and their place in it from what is said to them and things they experience.

This is how you created your own beliefs of yourself when you were a child, and why you hear those same statements being repeated in your head constantly. The good news is that these beliefs are just temporary ones to use until you are ready to create your own special beliefs of yourself.

Next time you hear yourself saying something unpleasant to you, stop and ask. Is this statement logical? Do I really wish to believe it? Do I really want to live with my head filled with other people’s judgments and words?

“Janet, you are very precious, as you have shown me the possibilities of seeing I am too.”

It is an amazing experience to spend time seeking out, releasing and replacing each negative belief you have of yourself with a special one you choose.

It is an amazing experience to feel the love and acceptance for yourself blossom and grow.

The Greene’s Release workbook materials take you through the steps to permanently remove every false belief you have of yourself using the Greene’s Release Technique so you can discover how special you really are for yourself.

If you’d like to experience the kind of dramatic, positive change the Greene’s Release materials can create in your life, take a look at some workbook excerpts and order Heal Your Self: A Journey to Find You

Take the first step to change your life today.
